Captains

Caleb

Hi, my name is Caleb. I'm a captain and I do programming on the robotics team. I work with the communications committee. I love robotics because you can always improve on what you have already done. There is always something to help out with. You get that feeling of accomplishing something when you're done.

Matt N.

Hi, I am Matt. I am a captain and do mechanical work on the team. I work with the awards and animation committees. Outside of robotics I am in tennis in the spring. I like robotics because of the challenge each game presents. It makes you think outside the box and learn about new parts that would pertain to the game.

Seniors

Mitch

Hi, I am Gary and this is my third year on the robotics team. I am a varsity member and an expert in pneumatics. I am a senior at Irondale. I plan to go to college at the University of Minnesota Duluth and major in Geological Sciences. I am an Eagle Scout and am employed at the Scout Shop by the Mermaid bar and grill in Mounds View. I am also the Scouting leader for the team. Scouting is finding out information about other teams so you can make a good decision for when you pick your alliances. I joined robotics because I wanted to learn more about the program and wanted to use technology that I haven’t used before. I also wanted to make new friends in the process. This will help me this year and my future years in college and later in life.

Joe

I’m Joe, I am a senior, and have been on the team for four years now. I plan on majoring in Mechanical Engineering at St. Thomas University. My primary roles on the team include hardware coordination, CAD design, and I am also the team welder.
