Mkay, so our meeting today consisted of 2 people. Not so great. Well, since we did not meet today, here is our plan-
First of all, since we are a bit late on registering for the state fair and off-season competitions, we are taking the summer easy, using it for re-organization and for rebuilding the tshirt cannon. This summer time will be used to train the (relatively) new students in so they can participate more.
We are going to be splitting into two subteams for the summer- mechanical and technical. All students (except Durgin, Luke, and Mittens), please respond to this with which of these two teams you wish to work with this summer.
If you choose mechanical, you will be working at Yoni's house. You will be designing and building the chassis and the aluminum knight, and Yoni will be teaching you all about the wonderful world of the mechanical subteam.
If you choose technical, you will be with Durgin and I (location TBD), and you will be designing and implementing the electronic side of the robot, and learning how to program the robot (though if you wish, you may choose one of those two areas to focus on more so than the other). We will also be in charge of the pneumatic parts.
Each of the above teams will be responsible for deciding on meeting times for themselves. We will likely meet once or twice as a whole team throughout the summer so we can all be on the same page.
Our next meeting will be next MONDAY the 29th at NOON. Please be there. If you aren't, then we will not consider you a part of the team this summer. We will clean out the closet, and then the mechanical team will load up what they need to work on the robot.
Those of you who have not collected your team tshirts yet, you will get them when we next meet as a full team.
