Big Foot

Robot Information

  • This robot had a tendency to leave large quantities of bolts and other miscellaneous robot parts behind as it went over Breakaway's tall bumps.
  • Our robot featured a large kicker for the game pieces and a high ground clearance for the bumps. Big Foot was a natural fit with our naming scheme.

Competitions and Awards
  • Minnesota 10,000 Lakes Regional: FIRST Dean's List Finalist Award - Bryan Herbst

This game starts off with a 15 second autonomous period where robots are controlled autonomously. Robots control Balls, which are standard size soccer balls. They score them in Goals at either side of their alliance wall. The field has two sets of Bumps and Towers, dividing the field into three. Robots may drive over the bump or go underneath the Tower to cross the field. In Endgame, robots score points by driving underneath the Tower, on top of the Tower, or climbing up using the rungs that make up the Tower. Robots score additional points if they climb using another robot.
