KnightKrawler Team Meals in Duluth

The following is the plan for parents and mentors to provide team meals in Duluth

Packing for travel:

Paper plates for 2 meals x #students and adults eating with team daily (est. ~140 for 2026)
Napkins for meals (1 package 280ct Kirkland brand)
Hand sanitizer

1 box Costco cutlery (180 forks, 120 spoons, 60 knives box)
Box of gallon Ziploc bags (for leftover food)

Load paper goods into tote in car, along with any food/water for day team has brought with for lunches
Make sure order is called in for that day’s lunch and send 2 adults to pick up food minimum 45 minutes prior to planned meal time (for pizza they may not start cooking until arrive and confirm order, therefore plan at least 1 hour)
Communicate with designated team leadership on site at DECC and once food is loaded into vehicle, set ETA and plan for students/adults to meet at parking ramp to help bring food into skyway, and rest of team to wait at designated meeting spot for food
Will need to eat outside DECC, usually in skyway by Curling Club/parking ramp

McDonalds on London Road & 21st Ave E (about 10 minutes from DECC North on 35) has been great to work with in years past

Create Slack poll with limited options from value meal: fish sandwich, chicken sandwich, burger, chicken nuggets and fries.
- NO drinks
If possible collect poll day ahead to call in
If setting for day of - set deadline for poll by 10AM to get count and call in order for pickup for 11:30AM (before lunch rush)

Costco Pizza 4611 W ARROWHEAD RD. DULUTH, MN about 15-20 minutes from DECC

Call ahead to order, will need to again order at kiosk to pay once arrive, let them know ASAP once you place the order that you called ahead and confirm the order number on your receipt
Pizza is 12 slices each, plan on 2.5 slices/person (for 2026 feed 65 people total 14 pizzas)
Supplement with applesauce, oranges and chip assortment
- Aldi cups best bargain for applesauce (35 cents/cup), will need spoons if cups, or Kirkland 24 ct squeeze pouches (54 cents per pouch)
- Aldi variety chip pack is comparable to 54ct Frito lay chip variety pack at Costco
Bottled water for students without a water bottle
