Open House

With the later start to Kick Off Broadcast, KnightKrawler began hosting an open house for families, alumni and supporters to visit our space, reconnect, and learn about the team. The open house runs for 2 hours prior to the Kickoff Broadcast. Attendees can stay in the robotics space to watch the kickoff video stream prior to returning home.

Timeline:

3-4 months prior

• Identify date
• Key planning participants meet
• Identify activities/stations needed

1-2 months prior

• Send/post save the date information
• Confirm on team calendar

1 month prior

• Confirm activities and materials needed
• Assign roles and responsibilities
• Prepare presentation materials and signage
• Identify any key invitations & send (sponsors, school board, etc)

1 week prior

• Order any food needed
• Post event information reminders to social media

Night before/day of event:

• Set up space - Robotics Gym
  • Table near entrance between doors works well for merch or refreshments (will need extension cord if power needed across doorway
  • Food table on shop side by outlet ~ 10 feet in from door
  • TV on stand from IMC for videos
  • Extra tables and folding chairs in janitor closet behind multipurpose room (in band hallway)
  • Maroon table clothes with Knightkrawler table toppers in merch bins
