This game starts off with a 15-second autonomous period where robots are controlled by prewritten code instead of drivers. In the remaining 2:15, drivers take control. Each alliance has 3 robots on their side, working together to enhance their ocean's habitat by retrieving Coral (PVC pipes) from Coral Stations to score on the Reef, and Algae (teal playground balls) from the Reef, or from the 3 Coral Marks placed on each alliance's side. Coral can be placed onto the 4 levels of the Reef, while Algae can be either shot into the Net or dropped into the Processor. In the final moments of each match, robots race to climb onto the Barge, performing a 'Shallow Climb' on a high cage, or a 'Deep Climb' on a low cage for more points.
